351 What separates this book from all others is why I decided to write what is the only review I have ever written on any book.1. The author did a superb job at rightly representing his opponents. He didn’t over simply or try to ‘straw man’ Calvinism, which in today’s culture is a breath of fresh air. Instead of using humor or deception, he repeadedly stated the position and arguments of Calvinism as Calvinists state them and sought to rightly represent the systematic.2. Instead of defending his position by pointing away from passages Calvinists claim prove their theology, he explicitly deals with Calvinism’s ‘proof texts.’ Instead of ignoring key passages like Roman’s 8-9, Eph 1 and others, the Author explains how Calvinists wrongly interpret these passages. Instead of ignoring T-U-L-I-P, the Author explains from Scripture that ‘Total Inability’ is not taught in Scripture and reveals how the entire systematic falls short.3. He does it all in a very humble way, which to me, says all I need to know about his motives for writing this. I cannot listen to someone who is arogant, condescending or anyone who either doesn’t take the time to learn the prospective of their opponent or simply misrepresents them by design.
